Full Description
Cottage, still in use, depicted on the 1st and 2nd edition OS maps. Described in the sale particulars of Tonley Estate in 1947 as follows: 'This valuable croft is compact and conveniently situated in the centre of the estate. It is bounded by a good road. The house is placed near to the School and a short distance back from the village road. Kirkton Village and the main bus services are within easy reach. Built of stone with slate roof, it contains 3 rooms, and adjoining is the Blacksmith's Shop, small garage and wash house, small barn, pig sty and 3-stall byre'.
