Full Description

Remains of a small farmstead. It is depicted on the OS 1st edition map as a group of three rectangular buildings, two with small attached enclosures. All three buildings remain in use on the 2nd edition map, although the enclosures are no longer shown. RCAHMS visit in 1999 recorded the remains of the farmstead, situated in a dense conifer plantation and comprise what is probably a cottage lying some 6m southwest of a garden enclosure. The cottage measures at least 11.1 m from east-southeast to west-northwest by 4.6 m transversely over stone walls 0.7 m in thickness and 0.6 m in height. Forestry Commission have also recorded what appears to be a silted up mill pond to the southwest of the main building.
