Full Description

Farmstead depicted on the OS 1st edition map as a quadrangular steading, with entrance to the court in the northeast . A mill pond with lade leading north lies to the south. By the 2nd edition an L-plan extension has been added to the western side. The farm house is 18th Century though now altered to a 2-storey, 3-window building of coursed rubble with single storey additions. It is described as a mansion in the Old Statistical Account. The farm has now been altered with later additions and the mill pond has been filled in.
