Full Description
Mansion house, originally an L-plan 2/3-storey building, built in the mid-18th century. The house was reconstructed after fire in early 19th century. Internally, 18th century panelling survives in the west wing. The house was reconstructed by John Smith 1838 after fire damage: a new porch was added to the north, the south wall was completely rebuilt, and attics were added to the east wing, Te southwest corner was rebuilt 1847 and the northwest wing was raised from single storey to two storey to give a symmetrical U-plan court in 1868. The dining room retains the original 1840 decor. To the East is a stable-block with quadrangle, also built in the early 19th Century. The mansion has been built on the possible site of earlier manor.

Built c.1747; reconstructed in 1838; south-west corner rebuilt 1847; north-west wing raised to two storeys in 1868; 1840s decoration in dining room.
