Full Description

Remains of a hut circle and cairns. The hut circle, standing on an east facing slope, measures 16.5 m by 14.7 m in diameter, with a grass grown wall standing 0.3 m high and 1.25 m wide. Several inner and outer facing stones are visible, and there is an entrance on the east. A sub-circular scoop in the interior may mark the site of a later round house. To the west are at least nine small grass grown cairns, up to 4m in diameter. The site was within an area of a walkover survey carried out by S Farrell in 2019 (NJ60SE0060) ahead of proposed planting, but at that time the site was covered in dense gorse and not accessible and no trace of the cairns was noted in the dense gorse.
