Full Description
A windblown tree revealed a collection of stones which have been interpreted as a clearance cairn. The stones are all large and are probably the result of primary clearance. It is likely that there are others in the vicinity which are hidden by an accumulation of overburden. This one would not have been visible had the tree not blown over. Information from C. Shepherd, Forestry Commission.
