Full Description

Two possible prehistoric hut-circles that lie at the west end of a group of at least 52 small cairns of an unknown date, which extend over the low summit of Bandodle. The south-eastern hut-circle measures 6.2 metres (20ft 4in) in diameter, within a grass-grown stony bank 3.2 metres (10ft 6in) in thickness and up to 0.4 metres (1ft 4in) in height. No trace of the bank is visible on the east, from the north-east round to the south. Another gap on the south-west appears to be a recent break rather than an entrance. The other hut-circle is situated immediately adjacent on the west, but is more poorly preserved, being defined only by a short arc of grass-grown stony bank measuring 2.2 metres (7ft 3in) in thickness and 0.3 metres (1ft) in height. There is a gap in the south side, but once again this appears to be a recent break. The largest of the cairns measures 4 metres (13ft) in diameter and 0.5 metres (1ft 8in) in height.
