Full Description
Remains of a croft. The OS 1st edition map shows a single rectangular cottage situated in woodland. By the time of the 2nd edition map the woodland has been cleared, a rectangular steading had been attached to the northeast gable, a D-shaped enclosure added to the southeast of the cottage and there are three small outbuildings to the west and northwest, which have since been removed. A watching brief was carried out by MAS in 2001 on a pipeline trench which passed close to the southeast corner of the buildings, but no archaeological features or artefacts were observed. Photographic recording was carried out in 2025 ahead of proposed replacement dwelling.
