Full Description
Townhouse. Despite bearing the date 1726 on a skewputt, the nucleus of the 3-storey crow-stepped, L-plan merchants house may date from the 17th century. All three of its doorways are provided with drawbars and slots. Also noteworthy are its moulded chimney and doorpieces. In the 18th century an east wing was added forming a U-plan court. There is a segmentally arched pend through to court. Restored 1971.
Period Notes
