Full Description

A walkover survey carried out by HAS in 2013 ahead of a proposed wind turbine recorded a number of features in the area. Sections of dry stone walls were recorded at NJ 5855955747 - NJ 5863055893, NJ 5858255796 - NJ 5844655870, NJ 5852256195, NJ 5856656284 - NJ 5853156196. and at NJ 5841356374 - NJ 58566856284 this constructed of large stones and forming an estate boundary. A drystone dyke forming a field boundary at NJ 5868555971 is situated in an old quarry. An old field boundary defined by a bank was recorded at NJ 58677 55977. A raised section of track lay between NJ 5847656000 and NJ 5849656062, built up on both sides using earth and stones. At NJ 58376 56182 is a water crossing or sheep dip, with a platform extending into the burn.
