Full Description

Mill dating from the 19th century. It is a 2-storey and attic rubble range on an L-plan with a distillery-type kiln forming one arm of the L. There is an iron overshot wheel, 1.27m by 3.66m. An adjacent 2-storey and attic granary has been converted to a garage. The mill appears on the OS 1st edition map which shows a large mill pond, sluice and dam to the south. The mill is noted as a corn and flour mill, with a rectangular farmhouse and a S-shaped steading and another rectangular building. The same layout is shown on the 2nd edition map. The mill pond is shown on the 2005 map as an area of boggy ground.
