Full Description

A short stretch of dyke revealed by Forestry Commission mounding operations. It consists of large boulders inconsistent with an improvement-period dyke. This is in an area formerly regarded as only ever used as common grazing land and well outwith areas depicted as outfields in the 18th century. It might relate to the earlier prehistoric activity attested barely 200 metres away at the Clean Pool site.
