Full Description

Remains of a croft (now named Milne's Croft) that is depicted on the 1st edition OS map as a rectangular building and then on the 2nd edition map as two rectangular buildings in a different position with an associated garden. A photographic survey was carried out in 2012 prior to demolition. The building remains comprised a cottage measuring 11 m by 5m, and the foundations and part of the walls of a steading to the southwest measuring 22.3 m by 5 m, and aligned east-west. The steading had largely been reduced to foundations, but parts of the north and west walls remained to a maximum height of 1.75 m. It had originally comprised a structure circa 13 m long with a second structure circa 9 m long added to its east end. No openings were visible.
