Full Description
Large whinstone slab with incised cuts. The shape suggests a cist-cover rather than the traditional belief that it was the market cross of Ruthven. In 1860 it formed one of the chief supports carrying a road across the lade of the Mill of Ruthven at NJ5060 4691. Now cemented to the north side of the churchyard wall.
