Full Description

Farmstead still in use. It is depicted on the OS 1st edition map which shows a rectangular building and an L-shaped building with an attached enclosure. By the time of the 2nd edition OS map the former has become L-shaped with the addition of a north wing, and the east wing of the former L-shaped building has been extended to the north. A new rectangular building has been added to the south-east of the enclosure. The buildings all remain in use although they have undergone further alterations and additions. Site visit by Rathmell Archaeology noted that the farmstead comprised one of the original farm buildings shown on the OS 1st edition map and a series of eight barns and outbuildings of recent date.
