Full Description

Remains of a chapel. OS site visit 1961 recorded that only an angle of foundation, 15cm above ground, remains. The angle forms the north limit of a turf-covered mound which exists at the site. Several large stones protruded through top of mound but no definite pattern formed. Site visit in 2018 by Rathmell Archaeology recorded that no trace of the low platform or other features related to the chapel could be identified. The site is now a level sloping area of enclosed pasture. No suggestion of enclosure or graveyard was observed.
