Full Description
Former cottages, now in use as a store, depicted on the 1st and 2nd edition OS maps. It is shown on the 1st edition OS map as a rectangular building with a rear plot. On the 2nd edition OS map it has been extended to the south and there is an addition to the north end. Current maps show that the north addition has since been removed. A Level 1 Standing Building Survey was carried out in February 2017 by Cameron Archaeology prior to proposed demolition of this building and alterations to the adjacent 24 Bogie Street (NJ53NW0129). The building survey showed that there have been various alterations to this building, including the removal of an upper floor, the removal a partition in one of the rooms and the infilling of two windows with rubble material. The original roof timbers are extant, but it has been re-roofed with corrugated asbestos roofing material.
