Full Description

Episcopal church built in the mid 19th century, designed by Thomas Mackenzie 1848. It comprises a small tower, porch, nave and chancel with a small vestry to the rear. The walls are harled with freestone dressings and the roof slated. the south elevation has three lancet windows in the nave with a smaller single lancet in the chancel. The small entrance porch has a gabled front with tall pointed arch doorway. Carved attached columns either side of the door support a moulded archway. The tower at the southwest corner of the church has a square base section with octagonal belfry stage topped by a stone spire. Internally the nave has plastered walls and exposed hammerbeam roof. The ceiling was originally painted in bright colours with stencilled heraldic panels, subsequently painted over.
