Farmstead, shown on the 1st and 2nd edition OS maps. It is shown on the 1st edition as an L-plan steading with three buildings to the south, one of which is L-plan and has an adjacent garden enclosure. On the 2nd edition OS map the north range of the L-plan steading has been extended, and one of the rectangular buildings to the south has been extended or replaced with a larger building. Current maps show only the L-plan building to the south and part of the west range of the L-plan building remain, both altered to rectangular buildings. A Level 1 Standing Building Survey was carried out in January 2017 by Cameron Archaeology prior to demolition of the building to the north, formerly the L-plan steading. The building survey showed that it was probably constructed in one phase in the early 19th century. The building had been used as a cottage for farm workers, but has been unoccupied since around the 1980s and is in a poor condition. There are wall stubs and foundations attached to the north-east gable from the earlier buildings that are now removed. A tin shed has since been added to the north-east gable at a later date. Photographs of the site show the building to the south is partially unroofed.
