Full Description
It is a large, rubble-built garden, with a Chinese moon gate added during the circa 1900 work. The gate is on the old turnpike road that ran over the hill to Huntly. The south wall was altered some time before 1915 to accommodate two Pictish stone, the Salmon Stone (MAB12718) and Wolf Stone (MAB12719). In the northeast corner of the garden are offices dated 1754 (MAB12768), the walled garden stone museum (MAB12834), and greenhouses (MAB12833 and MAB12835).
