Full Description

Farmstead, in use, depicted on the 1st edition OS map of 1867 as a Square steading with central open courtyard and horse-mill attached to east face,. A sluice is shown to the south, while an L-plan steading is shown to the west, and L-plan farmhouse to the northwest and a cottage to the north. On the 2nd edition map of 1888, the horse-mill and sluice are not shown, only part of the L-plan steading is shown, the cottage to the north has been removed while new buildings have been added to the northeast and southwest. The farmhouse appears to survive unaltered, the west wing of the square steading survives and the south wing and part of the east wing also appear to survive. None of the other buildings are shown, but two new cottages have been added to the north.
