Full Description
Field pattern comprising a complex of irregular-shaped fields with old road winding through them. The road is bordered by walls on either side containing remains of a few stone-walled buildings or possible huts. It may be remains of stock enclosures associated with old stock road above the ford over the River Dee. May be of late Medieval period. The field system was recorded during a walkover survey in July 2025 ahead of proposed woodland creation (NJ50SE0173). The site comprised a series of upstanding walls of varying heights, with an average height of 1 m, constructed from small pieces of rubble.
