Full Description
Field system and hut circle. Several scatters of stone clearance heaps and a few field banks of various lengths. The hut circle, at NJ587020, appears as a low annular grass-covered bank approximately 9 m in external diameter with opening in southeast. The bank is low-lying, 0.4 m in height. The cairns range from 2 m - 6 m in diameter, and 0.2 m - 0.8 m in height. The field banks are 30 m - 75 m in length, circa 0.40 m - 0.50 m in height, much denuded. A series of large rectangular stone and earth built structures which lie at NJ588019 most probably relate to an abandoned farmstead.
