Full Description
A large boulder projecting 0.61m above ground surface. According to the OS Name Book (1867) it traditionally marks the spot where Macbeth was mortally wounded. The tradition that Macbeth was slain here is the only tentative evidence available to site battle of Lumphanan in 1057.
