Full Description
Mill complex, dating to the 18th century. A 1-storey and basement rubble building on a T-plan. Although gutted and dis-used it still retains a 6-spoke, single ring, start and awe wheel, 0.94m by 3.66m. There is also a single storey wooden sawmill. Described on the 1st and 2nd edition OS maps as a corn mill. On the 1st edition OS map, three buildings are shown with lade running North to the mill from the Leochel burn. By the 2nd edition map of 1888, two new buildings have been added. Many of these early buildings appear to survive.
