Full Description

The farmstead of Leitcheston is depicted on the OS 1st edition map as a roughly E-plan steading with a mill pond and lade to the south. By the time of the 2nd edition map an additional range had been added to the north side and an L-shaped range lies to the south. Today the farmstead has been much altered with later buildings. The present house replaces a possible 17th century or earlier house. Part of the pond and lade still exist. Dovecot (NJ36SE0009) to the North was built to serve the estate.
