Full Description
Distillery, in use, built 1871. Liquidated in 1903, bought by Bell and Sons Ltd in 1938. A medium-sized distillery recently extended by the construction of large bonded stores. Older stores are 1-storey rubble buildings and there is a block of maltings with two pyramidal roofed kilns. Associated with distillery is a range of 1-storey and attic houses with dormer windows. Its spring, from the Letter Burn, lies across the road housed in a white barrel vaulted structure (NJ46SW0027).
