Full Description
Cave depicted on the OS 2nd edition maps. A track links this cave with Janet's Cave to the south (NJ46NE0367) to and Janet's Well (NJ46NE0032) to the north. Recorded during SCAPE Community Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (CCZAS) in 2022. A newspaper photograph of 1936 records a church service held in the cave, relayed to a large congregation gathered outside. It was later cleaned out by order of the Town Council to make an air-raid shelter during the Second World War.
