Full Description

House, in use, depicted from the 2nd edition OS map onwards (1878-9). The 2nd edition shows the house set in wooded grounds with a walled garden to the southwest, and another building within, probably a gate lodge, to the north. Formerly known as Linn House and built in the baronial style, complete with round corner tower with conical slated roof, crenelated enclosing walls, crowstepped gables and elaborate giblets. Originally built for the Kynoch family, whose mills lay a short distance downstream (now the Glen Keith distillery). Restored by Acanthus Douglas Forrest circa 1998. A photographic survey was carried out in 2022 prior to proposed redevelopment.
