Full Description

Mill, built in 1895 by William Stewart, mason, and incorporating earlier fabric. It is a 3-storey double gabled rubble constructed meal mill on an L-plan, with timber and corrugated iron extension to the West and a kiln with a louvred ridge cupola at the North. A 6 spoke all iron wheel at the South gable has been out of use for many years, but three pairs of stones and all machinery present and working. They are now powered by electricity and are still regularly used, as is the kiln. There is varied fenestration and glazing and slate roofs. The wheel measures 3.66 metres (12 feet) by 1.55 metres (5 feet).
