Full Description

Remains of lime works and kilns depicted on the OS 1st and 2nd edition maps. Work at the site ceased about the time of World War II and the quarry is now water-filled. In the 1990s the site was surveyed by the Cullen, Deskford and Portknockie Heritage group, who also recorded recollections of those who had worked there. Subsequent recording was also carried out by members of the Scottish Vernacular Buildings Working Group.
