Full Description

At least eleven small cairns are visible on the east flank of Norry Hill about 150m east of the prominent mound known as Poor Man (NJ44SW0009). Six of the cairns lie in the angle of the fence that marks the march of Cairnborrow. There is also a series of low banks forming small enclosures. To the northeast of the fence, in patch of unimproved ground that runs down to ruined farmstead, there are a further five cairns. A walkover survey by Cameron Archaeology in 2018 ahead of proposed planting included the area to the southwest of the fence but did not locate any cairns in this area, possibly obscured by heather or peaty accumulations.
