Full Description

Remains of farmstead, depicted on the 1st and 2nd edition OS maps as a single building with attached enclosure. These have been reduced to the robbed footings of a building, much of east side entirely removed. The remains were recorded by CFA field survey in 2009. Only a small section of the building circa 15 m by 4 m, survived as stone walls spread to 0.7 m wide and standing up to 0.3 m high. A stone bank was also recorded running east-west, circa 10 m long, 0.7 m wide and 0.4 m high. A stone block recorded by RCAHMS as being used as the foundation for a piece of machinery, was located at the north end of the building. It had a cross carved into the stone and four pieces of upright iron.
