Full Description

Remains of a farmstead, depicted on the OS 1st and 2nd edition maps. The 1st edition shows buildings forming a U-shaped range, although the S wing had been removed by the time of the 2nd edition. The remains comprise three buildings, a horse-mill and a stack-yard. Two of the buildings are set in an L-shape with the horse-mill and 15 stack-bases to the rear of the most northerly. The buildings show evidence of extension and alteration. The remains were recorded by CFA field survey in 2009. A further structure was identified north of the farmstead which may relate to the horsemill. The stack yard could not be located at the time of the survey because of high vegetation.
