Full Description

Remains of an enclosure. A small and squarish banked enclosure with rounded corners. It is approximately 16m x 16m with the bank approximately 2m across. It lies on the southern edge of the stone dyke NJ44SE0075, which apparently stops in the vicinity of this enclosure. There is a possible outlying (perhaps attached) bank to the north-west. A site visit by the Forestry Commission in 2005 revealed that the western side of the enclosure is covered by rubble and difficult to accurately survey. There is a hint of a lessening of the earthwork in the north-west corner with a possible continuation of the bank northwards from this corner. In the south-west corner, south bank, it is difficult to tell whether the spreading of the bank is an original feature or the result of later disturbance.
