Full Description

Remains of a watermill, annotated as a corn mill on the historic OS maps. The roofless shell of this mill is situated at foot of scarp. The ruins show clear signs of modification and extension, and the remains of a substantial kiln are built into the north wing. No trace of wheel survives although a mill stone lies in undergrowth to south side of mill. The OS 1st and 2nd edition maps show a pond to the west fed by a lade from the southwest. Amongst buildings to the northwest there appears to be a wheel pit. Present owner (1990) says power was taken off for joiners shop in buildings to W. Last miller, named Crawford, buried in Glass churchyard.
