Full Description
Remains of a holy well situated some 80m west of the ruins of the church of St Peters (NJ44SE0005). The well was extant in 1871. OS site visit 1972 recorded that there was an extensive damp hollow at the site of the well but no trace of well itself. When the site was visited in 2001 there was still a damp hollow, but there appeared to be a long roughly rectangular stone set on its side on the edge of this hollow on the eastern side. This may represent part of the earlier structure.
