Full Description
Remains of a farmstead and depopulated settlement which is probably that shown only on Roy's 1750 map as 'Montieth'. The remains were discovered by the Forestry Commission during replanting. There are the remains of two substantial longhouses, one (possibly two) subsidiary buildings and several enclosures. The enclosures have examples of both rectilinear and curvilinear types.
