Full Description

Mill constructed in the 18th century or later. A 1-storey and attic building on an L-plan with kiln forming one arm of the L. There is an 8 spoke wheel and iron overshot wheel. SDD lists suggest three building dates. On both the 1st and 2nd edition OS maps a substantial mill lade runs westwards from the mill, on the north of the Markie Water. It has a pond with a sluice. The 2006 map shows that the pond is still extant and a short section of the lade is shown immediately to the west of the mill.
