Full Description

Remains of field boundaries depicted on the OS 1st and 2nd edition maps. Recorded during walkover survey by Rathmell Archaeology in August 2024 (NJ42SE0086) ahead of proposed woodland creation. The remains of the northwesternmost run for 80 m, in some places fairly well preserved with a maximum height of 0.5 m and 1 m wide, overgrown by grass and thick gorse. That to the southwest survives as a indistinct turf bank, grass-covered at the time of visit. It was circa 1.2 m wide and 0.1 m high, running for approximately 140 m.
