Full Description
Remains of a hut circle, visible on aerial photographs. Surveyed by RCAHMS in 1998, the hut circle measures about 8.6m in diameter within a stony bank up to 3m in thickness and 0.5m in height. It was noted that the position of the entrance was not clear. It was also recorded during walkover survey by Rathmell Archaeology in August 2024 ahead of proposed woodland creation (NJ42SE0086). It was clearly visible as an annular bank circa 2 m wide and 0.5 m high, although completely covered in heather. It measures circa 12 m in diameter with a possible entrance on the northwest visible as a gap in the bank.
