Description
Excavation recorded a cist aligned E-W, with two capstones and of elaborate construction. When the capstone was removed a considerable area of sticky brown earth, gravel and much charcoal and burnt twigs, was revealed, about 4 cm thick, understood to have been inserted there after the chocking stones were in place but before the capstones were laid. A sample was taken of this material.
