Description
The most exposed parts of the eroding section of Midden C were cleaned, recorded and sampled. The midden and surrounding area were also augered to establish the extent of the midden deposits through examining the presence/absence of shell layers. Four test pits were excavated across Midden A, and five test pits at Midden B. Samples of shells, sediment micromorphology samples and pollen samples were taken from Midden C Director: Univ Aberdeen Auspices: UOA Fund: UOA
