Description
In 1975 Woodham found three stoney areas in the field, possibly associated with the findspots of three symbol-stones. Two of the stoney areas showed no identifiable features. The third was a square cairn of large water worn stones measuring circa 4.25 m by 4.25 m and over 0.5 m high. Fragments of white quartzite found centrally represented the remains of a boulder. The water-rippled underlying sand showed no trace of features, and there was no dating evidence. The stoney areas were marked with iron bars laid flat before being covered back over.
