Description
Three 3m sections of the inner rampart were exposed down to the level of the revetting foundations. There were no finds, but samples taken for radiocarbon dating, one from a timber beam rezsting against the inner revetting foundation of the rampart, in Horizon 5, the other from a pile of charred twigs at the base of Horizon 5 and largely covered by destruction debris. .
