Description
Two trial trenches 1m x 5m opened across two beach ridges thought initially to be composed primarily of midden material. Fifteen 0.5 by 0.5 m test pits and one 1 x 1 m test pit were set out at 2 m intervals along three main transects, two of which were aligned to the larger trial trenches.
